IT'S A COSY, SELF LOVIN, SELF CARING KINDA JANUARY….
I don’t know about you but I’m taking this month as like a deeeeeeep breath into the year of 2022…
I’m eating better and working out but I’m not crushing myself to get stuck straight in with smashing goals & shedding pounds & putting heaps of pressure on myself. It’s not feeling natural so I’m taking it slow.
I feel like January is the intro. It’s just us getting our feet back on the ground, getting into more positive routines and being kind to ourselves in every way.
I know a heap of amazing people who are already going hell for leather towards their goals and are super disciplined in their approach and I too find that super inspiring but something I have learnt in the last year is to listen to my body..and it’s telling me to warm up first.
The best piece of advice my lifecoach gave me in 2021 was to put myself first. We have all heard that, but subconsciously most of us think that putting ourself first is selfish. Well It’s not. Putting yourself first, second, third & fourth - maybe. But putting yourself first is not. 2022 is the year that the GG are prioritising ‘US’.
So. Take special care of yourself, listen to your body right now, don’t spend time comparing to what others are doing or worrying that you’ve not started your year ‘right’ - Use this month to create better self care routines for yourself and to spend more time focusing on what makes you happy and fills up your cup.
Here’s some of the things that keep my cup filled;
• Walks in fresh air
• Long warm baths with my favourite oils & candles.
• Good coffee
• Nutritious food
• Plenty of water
• Working out / trying new forms of exercise
• Good sleep
• Winding down and watching good TV
